Deep in the jungle there loved sacred spirits . They were very powerful for humans to fathom. They had retreated to sacred spaces because humans found it difficult to understand their power as society or societies functioned on certain principles that restricted their growth . But these spirits blessed those who had childlike hearts. These spirits bestowed peace and strength and smiled upon their children through all the difficulties . But they tested the faith of those who invoked them. There was a good reason for that , they would not bestow powers to those who could not handle them. If one fasted in their honour , they blessed one with peace ,serenity and good sense of humour. They offered refuge to those who found the mystery of life incomprehensible . There is a cave in one of the forests where fireflies guard the enchanted doorway to the abode of one of the sacred maruts who blesses those who dare to enter it .
